Mako and Korra--Drowning In Love

*edit* wow guys, thanks, this pic got the most favorites i've ever gotten on anything here on deviantART. i just really appreciate all of the love. Inspired by: my attempt at drawing them intimately making out, but then it turned all conceptual and shit..

Truthfully, I don't know how many hours this took. I spent about 2 days on it, broken up. The Morning After [link] took about 20+ hours of sheer hell, but this was much easier, it didn't take anywhere near as long.

I actually had not anticipated the water being as intricate as it turned out, it almost makes Mako and Korra under there look a wee bit misplaced, but that was my fault for misjudging how to do the line-art. I kept trying to change it, work with it, make the black line thinner, but it kept causing ripple effects (pun not intended) for the rest of their portion of the picture, so I just left it...

Overall, this was fun! My favorite part was seeing how the fire was gonna glow under the water and reflect off of stuff and just contrast with the heavy elements (no pun intended) of blue in general. I think the bubbles came out nicely, this's my first time doing something like it. So yeah, ENJOY~!
